The third edition of the project dedicated to the little ones

How important is music for our development? But for the little ones?

It has often been confirmed that music develops the necessary skills for a child, especially from an intellectual, social and emotional point of view.

Having this in mind, the Sibiu Jazz Festival Foundation has brought this concept into an adapted formula created for both children and teenagers. In order to bring a cultural program, but also to show what this style really means, Jazz for Kids has become a symbol in this field.

Over time, artists have chosen to join the project, and the little ones became the stars of the moment. Percussion instruments, games and good mood are the key words, and imagination and curiosity are a plus.

At its third edition, Jazz For Kids is a project focused on music education. Sibiu Jazz Festival Foundation continues the program loved by many, with a series of creative workshops held in each day of the festival (17-20 May).

You will have the chance to discover what it takes to play drums, bongos, djembes or a tambourine. If you are already familiar with these instruments or you want to learn more about them, then Jazz for Kids is the place where you should be! Percussionist Andrei Marcovici will explain the importance of each musical instrument he promises that he will not be alone!

Alex Mercado - a Mexican jazz composer and pianist, Luca Ciarla - one of the most original jazz artists in recent years and Vali Boghean - a well-known artist in Chisinau; are just some of the artists who will join the little ones.

This being said, if you are between 3 and 12 years, you are curious, full of energy and want to learn more about jazz, see you in Sibiu!
