Sibiu Jazz Meeting – promoting Romanian jazz

This project was created according to a European model that has already been implemented in several countries. The purpose of the project is to promote and export jazz music from Romania in the main European countries.

We aim to be close to the heart of jazz in Romania and the Romanian jazz industry, as an essential part of the jazz world in our country, therefore, constantly creating points of support around which musicians, the public, promoters and organizers plan their activities.

This year, promoters from Luxembourg, Poland and Portugal are invited to Sibiu. They participate in the events of the program, having the opportunity to find the chance to collaborate with the artists present.

This event has a special role to play in promoting and supporting Romanian jazz and, at the same time, is a powerful vector of Romania's image abroad. Furthermore, it supports contemporary creation and stimulates cultural life at national level. It also contributes to raising the quality of life and ensuring social cohesion.

And because we are in Centenary year, we invited to Sibiu Jazz Meeting an ethno jazz band from Moldova: Vali Boghean Band. We are also honored with the presence of JazzyBit from Timisoara, Sorin Zlat Quartet and KRiSPER. See you there!

And if you don’t manage to come to Sibiu, all the 4 concerts from this project will be broadcasted live on, and our Facebook page, from Thursday to Saturday, starting with 7 pm (GMT + 3).
